The media interest is huge. A number of TV and radio stations and over 120 journalists from online and print media from all over the world are present.However, before the first racer can leave the start gate and the fight for every hundredth of a second begins, lots of organisation and preparation is necessary.Organisation starts already 6 months prior to D-day and the nearer it gets to the race, the team, which on race day consists of 400 people, work hard to ensure everything runs smoothly. From hotel bookings to ticket sales, setting-up of infrastructure, piste preparation, positioning the floodlighting, co-ordination of the emergency chain to guiding the streams of spectators, implementation of safety measures or the running of the race itself – each aspect is important and worked at with commitment.The following pictures give you an insight into what happens behind the scenes of the “Project Ski World Cup” and the people involved.
