Pure Street Life – the Street Festival in Flachau

Unbelievable but true, the Flachau street festival will be celebrating its 15th birthday in summer 2024.
This event oozes a very special flair, when the road in Flachau between the Tauernhof and the Flachauerhof is transformed into a pedestrian precinct and street life really pulsates. Whilst just few years back my daughter was fascinated with the bouncy castle or children’s face painting stations, nowadays  she’s more into climbing, zorbing or segway.
The Street Festival in Flachau offers namely a packed programme for the whole family and even my husband, our gourmet, is also well catered for. The street festival caterers also think up particularly tasty specialities for this occasion: grilled delicacies, bosna hot dogs, curry, crepes, paella, ice cream and summer cocktails, mmmmmhhhhhh.
The various bands ensure a jolly atmosphere and the street artists amaze us with their acrobatic performances. Sometimes there’s even something to laugh about, when for example, the quaint old comic couple pull the leg of one or other festival visitors.

What began 15 years ago as a summer festival for guests and locals has developed into something special.Then as today there are a number of good reasons, why you should pay a visit to the “Street Festival in Flachau”:
