In addition to skiing fun, there is a very special highlight every Sunday: when Kinigl – the mascot of the Radstadt-Altenmarkt ski area – stops by, he always brings little sweet surprises for the children. Of course, there is also plenty of time for high fives and funny souvenir photos. This makes a day of skiing not only a sporting event, but also a real experience for young and old alike.

Tobogganing is winter fun for all ages – and especially so in Radstadt. Here you will find the longest toboggan run in the region. Whether you whizz down with your family, friends or on your own, it is a highlight that you won’t forget in a hurry. Night tobogganing is particularly atmospheric and takes place every Tuesday and Friday, snow conditions permitting. Wrap up warm, jump on your toboggan and whizz down into the valley – excitement and winter fun are guaranteed.

If you prefer a quieter but still active winter holiday, cross-country skiing in Radstadt is just the thing for you. The well-groomed trails lead through the winter landscape and offer ideal conditions for beginners and experienced cross-country skiers alike. Particularly practical: every Thursday, you have the opportunity to work on your technique with a cross-country skiing coach. You will receive helpful tips on the correct posture and movement sequence – in a relaxed atmosphere, free of charge and without any pressure.

Step by step away from the slopes, winter in Radstadt can be experienced particularly intensively on a guided snowshoe hike every Wednesday. Together with Herta Palzenberger, you hike through the snow-covered landscape up to the Bürgerbergalm. Immerse yourself in the tranquillity of nature, enjoy the clear winter air and discover the surroundings from a new perspective. An experience for everyone who wants to enjoy winter in a relaxed and natural way.

An exciting adventure also awaits you in Radstadt in winter: the escape game ‘The Secret of the Three Towers’. There are three different game variations in total, each of which can be played at three levels of difficulty. During the winter season, the escape game is open daily until 2 p.m. (last start time). A small highlight is the new starting point, which sets the mood for the experience.

Laughing together, showing a little ambition and enjoying the winter evening – what could be better than curling? It's simply part of winter and ensures pleasurable hours on the ice in Radstadt. Whether you're a visitor or a local, the focus here is on having fun. The Radstadt Curling Club invites you to try this traditional winter sport for yourself every Tuesday and Thursday. No prior experience is required, so even beginners can quickly get the hang of the game.

A special winter experience is the guided torchlight hike every Thursday. At 5 p.m., the hike starts accompanied by Herta Palzenberger up to the Bürgerbergalm. Equipped with torches, the hike starts at the post office and follows the Bürgerbergstrasse, with the torches lighting the way. Once at the top, you can stop for a bite to eat, enjoy the rustic hut atmosphere, chat with Hias, the landlord, and round off the evening in a cosy manner.

After an active winter day, relaxation is a must. The Therme Amadé spa is located in the neighbouring town of Altenmarkt and can be easily reached by bus from Radstadt. Tip for the bus ride: with the Guest Mobility Ticket, you can travel on the bus for free ;). Warm thermal pools, slides and a spacious sauna area invite you to switch off and relax.
