New Year's Eve in Radstadt – the perfect way to celebrate the start of the New Year

As New Year's Eve approaches, you can feel that special end-of-year atmosphere everywhere: new calendars are already hanging, everyone is talking about New Year's resolutions – and many are wondering where best to start the new year. At home on the sofa? Partying in a club? Or perhaps booking a spontaneous short break? Sometimes the best place to celebrate is closer than you think. Radstadt, for example, shows every year how beautiful and atmospheric it can be to celebrate right on your doorstep – without any stress! New Year's Eve in Radstadt – the perfect way to celebrate the New Year.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 It starts at 7 pm – perfect for families (and anyone who wants to start celebrating early).

Early in the evening, the town square fills up with parents, children and anyone else who wants to get into the party spirit a little earlier. At 7 pm, the popular children's fireworks display begins, accompanied by DJ Traumland, who immediately creates a good mood with well-known children's songs and party hits. The little ones marvel at the colourful fireworks in the sky, while the grown-ups enjoy the relaxed atmosphere and a laid-back start to the last evening of the year.

🥂 The festivities commence at 10 pm!

Once the little guests have been taken home, the New Year's Eve party for the grown-ups begins. The party starts at 10 pm, and suddenly half of Radstadt is in the town square, where you suddenly meet people you haven't seen all year – and that's what makes the evening so special. Whether you're dancing to DJ Enes' party hits, laughing and reminiscing with friends, taking photos or just enjoying the atmosphere. Of course, refreshments are also available in the town square. And before you know it, the clock on the Church Tower is already ticking away the minutes until midnight.

🎇 Midnight – the goosebumps moment

Shortly before midnight, Radstadt becomes surprisingly quiet, as it does every year. Everyone looks up and then the countdown begins. The last seconds of the old year are counted together. At twelve o'clock sharp, the big fireworks display lights up the sky above Radstadt. People toast each other, laughter can be heard, hugs follow, some shed a few tears – a very typical mix of emotions that makes New Year's Eve unforgettable.

🍀 Lucky charms, lead pouring & lots of laughter

After the fireworks, the celebrations often continue privately with family or friends. Small lucky charms such as pigs, clover leaves or horseshoes are given as gifts, and of course, one mustn't forget the tin/wax casting. For me, for example, this is already part of an annual tradition😉 The shapes usually look like something between a UFO and a dinosaur, which makes the whole thing even more fun.

📝 A little peace and quiet at the start of the year

At some point, the hustle and bustle dies down, the fireworks fade away, and you have this little moment to yourself. Many people use this first quiet hour of the new year to reflect briefly. What was good about last year? What would I like to change? Which moment from 2025 will I never forget? In fact, many people write down their New Year's resolutions and try to implement them as best they can. These don't have to be pages long, just short and concise. Have you thought about your New Year's resolutions yet?
