A ride on the Gamskogelbahn cable car is one of the highlights in the Zauchensee mountains. This is also the location of the adventure playground ‘Alpine Animals’ Championship Cup. Tip: Zauchi's slow train takes you comfortably from the Gamskogel Hut to Seekarsee Lake and back again.

There are a total of six themed hiking trails for you to discover in Altenmarkt-Zauchensee, as each of them has a special story that will give you unexpected impressions and new knowledge. One of them tells you amazing things about the moon, the others tell you about centuries-old farming rules, educational facts about agriculture and historic Altenmarkt. In Zauchensee too, there are three circular trails with four stations on the Gamskogel adventure mountain around the adventure playground.
