JoKiWo reloaded 2025 – A summer festival full of magic, laughter and shared experiences

The JoKiWo reloaded children's week proved itself once again this year as the family event of the summer. From the 7th to the 12th August, St. Johann in Salzburg was transformed into a paradise for families with countless highlights, sparkling children's eyes and unforgettable moments.

Magical start: JoKiWo meets Okidoki Festival

Right from the start, the ‘JoKiWo meets Okidoki Festival’ got off to a flying start. The mountain station of the Alpendorf gondola lift was transformed into a colourful world of adventure that made children's hearts beat faster. Presented by Okidoki on Tour, the focus on this day was on games, fun and amazement.

One highlight was the imaginative magic show with apprentice magician Zwucki, who had everyone wide-eyed and laughing out loud with his amazing tricks and child-friendly humour. The young guests were no less enthusiastic about the traditional Punch and Judy show, which offered a nostalgic flair and top-notch entertainment with its lovingly staged adventures.

Young visitors were able to meet their favourite TV characters in person, including Kurt the cat from ‘Tollen Tieren’ and many other popular characters. The Okidoki Star Tent was very popular, with selfies with TV stars, hugs and lots of good cheer.

Children could also let off steam in a huge inflatable play area, give free rein to their imagination at creative craft stations or discover the animal world in the Okidoki play zoo. A photo booth for fun memories, sweet candyfloss and the backdrop of the mountain station rounded off this unforgettable day of celebration.

Adventure and puzzle fun in the city

On the 8th ofAugust, the adventure entered its next phase: the town centre of St. Johann became the setting for an exciting puzzle rally. Children and their families explored the town on an imaginative scavenger hunt and were rewarded at the end with a lovingly prepared surprise from JOregional. The focus was on having fun exercising, working as a team and discovering new things.

Classical music meets childhood dreams The Nutcracker for the finale

The festive conclusion of JoKiWo reloaded took place on the 12th of August with a special musical performance: the Salzburg Philharmonic Orchestra presented the classic fairy tale ‘The Nutcracker’ in a child-friendly yet high-calibre performance. It was an atmospheric finale that touched young and old alike.
