Fun in the snow at the family festival at monte popolo

From A for adventure piste to Z for Zipfelbob race

When the piste next to the Topolino II practice lift at monte popolo turns into a huge playground, we know it's time: It's time for the family festival again! Every year at the beginning of February, ‘OKIDOKI in the snow’ visits Eben im Pongau, offering the little ones winter fun and games. Find out exactly what’s happening!

Start the ski day well warmed up

This year's family festival takes place on 9th February and starts with a ski warm-up session at 10:00 am. With us: Kurt the cat, known from the ORF programme ‘OKIDOKI’, and Monti, the mascot of monte popolo. They warm up together for all they're worth. After warming up, the little ski bunnies will certainly be ready to check out the adventure ski piste with the talking animal figures, set a new best time on the Andrea Fischbacher timed course or try out a few tricks in the fun park. In the afternoon, however, you will still need some strength and stamina, so it is important to take a break from time to time. If your stomach starts to rumble, don't forget to stop off at the Landgasthof Ortner at the valley station or at the Moosalm or Reitlehenalm on the mountain.

All sorts of things at the monte popolo Lounge

If you need a little breather between runs, the monte popolo Lounge is the place to be - including a little refreshment. The ‘OKIDOKI in the snow’ team ensures a good atmosphere and fun with games of skill and children's entertainment. Let off steam creatively at the colouring stations - every drawing takes part in the children's raffle at the Moosalm, where there are lots of great prizes to be won. The photo box will provide you with fun snapshots to take home, which will hopefully put a smile on your face long after the family festival is over. For all technology enthusiasts, the door to the piste groomer is open - the monte popolo team is looking forward to giving you a peak behind the scenes.

Last but not least - the highlight

The big highlight of the family festival is definitely the Zipfelbob race. The kids can unpack their Zipfelbob skills on a set run right next to the Topolino II practice lift. Registration is open until 12 noon at the monte popolo lounge, and the race finally starts at 2 pm! Monti will be the forerunner at the start and take a close look at the course. Will the kids be able to match his time? Cheering them on certainly helps, and from the monte popolo lounge you have a great view of the race. The award ceremony will also take place there at 3:00 pm. It's worth taking part, because there are great prizes to be won, such as a complete set of Atomic children's ski equipment, a Ski amadé ALL-IN Card White, vouchers for the Thermal Spa Amadé or Sport Klieber!

Info

Lift tickets for non-skiers (ascent and descent) are available at the monte popolo ticket office: € 12,00 adults | € 7,20 children. Admission to the family festival is free!

PS: The family festival also takes place in bad weather. If it rains, water-shy cat Kurt prefers to stay at home - our Monti will then bravely hold the fort ;).
