From the soap kitchen in Altenmarkt: Handmade natural shop

Angelita Eichholzer-Beiermann has a talent for soap

Swiss stone pines, mountain herbs, hemp. No! Where are you thinking right now? We're not talking about schnapps and other calming substances here. Although. They have a calming effect on the skin. Or revitalising - depending on what you feel like. If you use them regularly and treat yourself to handmade natural soaps from VIELSEIFIG. Because Angelita Eichholzer-Beiermann transforms the treasures of nature into a feast for the eyes in her soap kitchen. And a treat for your skin.

The skin snacks too

You don't believe the part about the gourmet treat now, do you? But the skin ‘eats’ too. And not just with the food it gets from the inside (i.e. from your food). But above all what it gets on top.

Angelita Eichholzer-Beiermann attaches great importance to buying her ingredients regionally and in organic quality wherever possible.

Triclosan, paraffins and synthetic fragrances in conventional soaps are bad for the skin - Angelita also had problems. She struggled with dry skin, especially on her hands. Because of her work, she had to wash them constantly. This led to open sores and even eczema between her fingers.

In her search for a solution, she came across handmade natural soaps. Because with natural ingredients, the skin gets the menu that makes it feel good. And as a bedtime treat, there are bubbling bath pearls that flatter your skin - with a Cleopatra effect.

Writing recipes, boiling soaps & letting them rest

Angelita then took a soap boiling course so that she could learn the art of soap boiling. At least the basics.

She then began to develop her own recipes as a hobby. She tested and continues to test how different plants and herbs work. Because nature provides us with a buffet of wonderful resources - we just need to use them. And this is what the soap artist does by turning them into soaps and ointments.

Protective clothing is essential when boiling soap - because fats are broken down into glycerine and the salts of the fatty acids. The resulting soap glue is placed in the moulds, cools and solidifies. Angelita then cuts her soaps and leaves them to mature.

The yeast dough does it, good wine and cheese too. They mature. And for the soaps to develop their full effect, they mature for around 6 weeks. Soap maturing is not as intensive as cheese care, but Angelita still turns her soaps over from time to time. If they are stored for too short a time, the pH value is too high. And, it is only through the maturing process that this can fully develop and is perfect for cleansing the skin.

Every skin has its own handmade natural soap - naturally from VIELSEIFIG

Angelita now has more than 20 types of soap in its range. And new ones are always being added. She tells me: ‘It's addictive to keep trying out new recipes.’ There are already some pleasant new products in the pipeline. Something with wine, honey and aloe vera. I can already reveal that much ;).

For dry skin, the expert recommends either sheep's milk soap or a soap with marigolds. And the basic ingredients of her handmade natural soaps are already very nourishing - the herbs enhance this effect even further. It's best to ask Angelita what the perfect soap is for your skin challenge.

The soap artist is constantly tinkering with new recipes, trying them out and refining the results until she offers the treat for your skin for sale. Speaking of buying.

Handmade natural soap for all paws

Yes, also for all cases. But in this case, it's all about the fur. Because the paw ointment protects your four-legged friend's sensitive paws. And with the handmade ‘natural soap for all coats’, you can also wash, care for and protect your dog's or horse's skin.

And also that of your guinea pig, cat or rabbit. But whether they can be washed is another story 😊.
