Horses have a long tradition in the Salzburger Sportwelt, Flachau, Wagrain-Kleinarl, St.Johann, Radstadt, Altenmarkt-Zauchensee, Eben and Filzmoos. Filzmoos is well-known far and wide for teams of Noriker, Frisian, Dapple Grey and Haflinger horses. Carriage rides are a particularly romantic and sociable activity. In Altenmarkt-Zauchensee there are five bridle paths stretching a total length of 100 km. Farms with horses and riding facilities offer great holiday packages for beginners and sporty riders.
